Even if we know how vegetables, dumplings, or “currywurst” look like when they are cooked, we like to get ourselves fooled. The product aesthetics is one which fools you beyond the product and promises that the 3rd choice mushrooms taste just like they look on the packaging. The surface of food products packaging was explicit enough to show the manipulation which always happens, even if we’re not willingly acknowledging it, once we enter a supermarket. It isn’t possible to picture it otherwise. Or is it?
