The farm Oberschuirshof located south from Essen has been owned by the family Weber since 1760. Nikolas Weber has recently taken over the farm from his parents and wishes to bring the agricultural production closer to the people. He wants to connect the missing dots between the product on the fields, the animals in the stable and the meal on the table.
Therefore, the communication needed to be as simple and transparent as possible. Farming means hard work, and that should be made clear. It wasn't about creating a romantic view of a farm but about showing the true - and sometimes muddy- reality of it. The handwriting used for most of the headlines has been drawn from instructions by Nikolas Weber and creates the visual identity of the farm, together with the colors and the typographic design.
