The structure of "Der Heizer in Beziehungen erzählt", inspired by sign language, places particular emphasis on the relationships between people and objects.
The work is an experiment in typographic and media staging. The aim is to break up the linearity of texts and narratives and make it possible to experience them non-linearly. The question of how you can tell a story without the sound of words in your head led me to explore sign language. It is a purely visual language that functions multidimensionally. While spoken language is primarily based on acoustic information, sign language uses facial expressions, mouth images, gestures, hand shape and position, speed and body posture, all of which are decisive for the message, both individually and together. The different dimensions are used to create relations and relationships in space.
